I'm quite sure all of you have heard of what is happening between Denmark (and Norway and Sweden) and the Arab world.
If not: A Danish newsjournal published a caricature picture of Muhammed (the profet), and now almost entire muslamic world are really pissed off.
The muslims are boycotting all Danish products and threatening that all Scandinavians are to leave Palestinia. And now some Iraqi group have threatened to make bombattacks on Denmark.

All this because of one picture a journal published.
Am I the only one who thinks that the muslims are over-reacting?
What is your view on this whole thing?

I would say they are Over-reacting, but then again in the article did it mention that... 'Pictorial depictions of the Prophet Muhammad are forbidden in Islam.'
So if there have been no pictures created of the profit in his own Origin of religion, i can see how it would Piss the Islamic community off when a Western cointry publishes a Cartoon sketch of him in a national newspaper.
But as stated this breaks no laws in Denmark and therfore they are within their right, maybe out of order, but within their right.
At the end of the day its a big ol' Muhammad Cafuffel over nothing!

Didnt no about that, my dads away to denmark today is a lovely place.
people take there religion very seriously though, i think it's a lotta shite personally and causes more trouble than it's worth.
Dont really think the newspapers in the wrong but they shoulda known it would piss people off, infact thats probably exactly why they done it.

I think it's stupid really there quite happy to shit on christianity (or any other religion) but when it comes to their religion it's "you cant say/do that were gonna ****in' bomb you now". These people need to understand that other people in the world aren't gonna give 2 about their religion and if they want to be part of a global community there gonna have to learn to live with it! It's not even the country that's done out it's the newspaper that printed it, it's not like Denmarks... president? (leader) personally OK's all "his/hers countries" papers do they. Sorry if I sound like an arse but thats just how I feel about the matter.

Burning one country's flag is quite an offence, especially when there is a christian cross on it.. But do we react as they do? nope

dont sound like an arse at all mate, tbh though it's aint just muslims that are like that people all over the world are fighting over long lasting feuds about religion.
The muslim community are definitely the worst for it though, i never judge any person individually cos is lotsa really sound muslims but as a community theres a few things fundamentally wrong in there beliefs imo.
The thing is though it is there beliefs and theres no changing that i dont really no what the best thing to do about it is, but it's definitely not backing down to everything they want us to do so they defo shouldnt censor papers more for one religion than another.

Why do the French seem to always have 2stir things up, this is typical.
Why get involved, the more countrys added to the dispute, the more explosives that get strapped2 an islamic extremists belt.
And when this happens2 France they would almost certainly claim it an unprovoked act of terrorism and they didn't velieve for one second 're-publishing' the pictures would offend the islamic people.
At the end of the day as it has been said, religion is a very powerfull and destructive perception. To the extent of convincing people to the state where they will take their own lives, and cause mass fatalitys.
These caractures should have been taken as slapstick but, everyone knows (including Denmark) Islam has no perception of this when involving their religion, as we have seen from their murdering sacrifices over the last 5years.

I can understand why muslims are angered but, focusing their anger on an entire nation due to a cartoon by one man and the newspaper publishing it?
this is what happens when uneducated people and religion collide. it kind of reminds me of after 9/11 when the rednecks decided that all muslims were terrorists and started fights with peaceful law abiding muslims in the US.
hopefully denmark won't be attacked and boycotting products will be the only repercussion. I think radicals were already planning for scandinavian countries to be attacked; this probably doesn't help the matter.
