DONT BASH ME ON THIS ONE.

Its a straight and simple question, how do you breakdance REAL FAST, and not take speed.

I dont really want to take stimulants but i want to learn how to breakdance so i dont look like a twat trying to breakdance.

I want to try and imitate this thing ravers do with there feet crossing them rapidly.

plain and simple years of effort, fitness and being flexible.

I couldnt be arsed tryin to learn myself but a guy at my old kickboxing club could do it amazing.

Basically first thing you need to stretch until you can do the splits, without this you cant break dance because all the moves are done from the splits position.

You'll also need to be very strong but not too heavy so lotsa pressups etc and lose any excess weight. The rest is just years of practice and having a really good sense of balance, pretty sure you can get classes in it at some places.

The legs crossin thing your talking about like old rave dancing is really simple, cant really explain it just watch the prodigy "no good" video and copy it til you can do it. Use your arms to keep your body in balance and just keep making sharp movements with your legs while flowing to the tunes.

Hahaha i still remember when me and my mates were all like 13 practicing that before parties at youth club, let us no how you get on crow.

are you really talking about break dancing?

I used to breakdance all the time. The bruises and welts on my body from 'practicing' became too much for me. Flairs, windmills, headspins, shuffles, etc....
Ive see some people try to breakdance at raves, nothing new. I just wish most of them were really good like the people i used to battle back in the day.

theee best breakers in the world you'll see are light, flexible, and very fit! Give it a whirl. :D

hahaha can imagine that, get some deluded people about thats for sure doin some lame justin timberlake style hand moves .

Looks really impressive when done properly but wannabes look the biggest tits out when they try it, so anyone wantin to get into dont take a couple lessons then get wrecked and think you can show a rave of people how it's done. Infact do it cos it'll make me laff

Yeh I know what you're talking about, it was Leeroy's (ex Prodigy dancer) signature thing. Always remember the out of space video with him doing that, I was amazed!

it also helps if you're small. it's difficult to try and breakdance when you're 6'2" with size 13 shoes =P

I dont think i do mean break dancing no.

But that prodigy "no good" dance move thing sounds alot more like what i'm talking about.

Someone here, it was either baldo, or JesterDJ tryed to teach me a "different kind" move at Westfest, it was this can-can-kick like move, it was either baldo or JesterDJ.

It was a very simple move, it was something like kick right leg forward, left leg back.
I cant remember straight, it was almost like you were hovering, almost defying gravity

I think it was you baldo, it was somone wearing a yellow fluro jacket anyway.

If any of this rings a bell aswer bellow, because i'd like to be reshowed how to do it, because i thought it was cool.

Pole Dancing hmmmm

Like in the "white stripes" video "I just Dont Know What to Do with Myself"

With Kate Moss on the pole, shaking her stuff, swinging round like a centrifuge.

hey hey hey.

I love that tune, i know its not a dance track, but the white stripes are still cool.

I've been learning to dance properly for just over a year and a half now...

In all that time the most important thing I've learned, is it doesn't matter how basic or complex a dance step/movement is, whether it's a bit of footwork, a breakdance move or a simple arm movement. What matters is the execution of that move. It has to be 'big' and 'sharp' so that if you're performing the people at the back row can see exactly what you're doing. These terms are difficult to explain on the internet.

In a rave environment it's obviously different, but if you watch the dancers they employ on stage you will see what I mean. If I meet you I will show you some footwork steps and you will understand the difference between 'small' and 'fuzzy' compared to 'big' and 'sharp'.

Try not to think too much about how you're dancing. Just use your ears and listen to the music. It tells you all you need to know and then the moves will naturally flow.

CJ

I have watched the Hardcore Heaven dvd's a few times and wished i could dance like the girls on stage, but i wouldnt wear a pair of those daft furry boots, plus dont think i could get them in my size anyway

As for Breakdancing hows about having 1 to many laxatives or a hot vindaloo that show have the whole body strutting away
sorry mi feeling after a couple of tinnies last night as am a lightweight and av just had a Red Bull to sort mi out!
