i do agree, personaly i believe that hardcore is the best sound around, but i know that many non hardcore fans would argue that. oh well, lucky this is a hardcore site.

it's a fair question; loads of people hate hardcore but will quite happily listen to manufactured pop shite, the only purpose of which is to relieve kids of their pocket money. i bet a lot of people could'nt express why they like certain genres of music. if you go to any mainstream nightclub where they play pop music ( i mean anything in the charts ) there's no expression on the faces of those dancing, they're not actually listening to the music at all. contrast that with the dance floor at a big rave. that's why i like hardcore, it's all about the energy and the feeling.

i have aload of mates who have never realy been into hardcore, and they are all in the pop scene. anything that reaches number 1, they like. i get the feeling that the only reason they like it is because a madurity of radio listeners in the uk voted the tune as number 1.
it is definatly different in hardcore. i would agree with you tho, the energy level is unlike any other. no other music even touches it for me.

sadly, ive heard a few people who used to despise hardcore say " oh i like bonkers music" or " i like helter skelter music " shows they havent got a clue really. as for people liking whatever is no.1 in the charts, that's just human nature; it's a lot harder to say you like something that most people think is shit. of course, i would argue that makes you more of a genuine fan. conforming with the majority makes us feel secure; we must be right because everyone else likes it.

i think hardcore is one of theose musics which many people asume is dead already. i have read somewhere that it died out in the 90s. therefore people who hear it underestimate its meaning. all i ever get from people is "it all sounds the same" "its chav music" "antisocial" but i dont think any of that is true. and because people believe it is true they decide to diss it, which anoys me because i dont diss other music
