Theres a big difference between people who hear hardcore and just hear a thumping lively beat and dont apreciate it for what it is(usualy the chavs-but dont take that as an insult if u r a chav)
And then you get the people who do love hardcore and follow it through its ups and downs, rises and falls

so many people must be lying bastards imo (dont no you personally) but according to 99% of people they're hardcore forever and always have been, how come it had a quiet patch 99-01.
I no myself i thought hardcore was a thing of the past, still loved my old tapes but trance was amazing at the time and hardcore (especially happy) had become a shit excuse for music in almost all cases.
After that i started to hear bits of makina about 2001 that had came through the north east scene which i found interesting, then mibbe 02 when i properly started hearing new hardcore at raves through scott brown. The reason it had came back popular was because of the influence took from the trance scene and theres no doubt about it.
Now every little dweeb whos been into it for 5 mins starts sayin htid or other little slogans it makes me cringe, it's a total joke they can believe it all they want.
Hardcores changed a lot over the years and i do think for the better in a lot of ways, we've still got the classics but theres a big variety of other stuff aswell. The big rave sound at the moment though i absolutely HATE, it isnt what i grew up knowing as hardcore and i only see it getting softer and more chart friendly all the time. I like that it's getting a lot of sound people into going to raves but theres no fun or excitement to me anyway.
Thing is i still have plenty amazing stuff and events that rock my world but if things changed and i didnt like enough anymore course i'd ditch hardcore again, would keep checkin to see what new stuffs coming out but i'll never rave somewhere i no is gonna be shit.
