some records are worth it though, i got decks late 2003 and most my fav tunes are from 92-97 so gotta pay the price if you want the highly wanted tunes.
F**k just stealing them and mixing them on cdjays if your playing old tunes people want to see vinyl and if i like a tune it's worth it to me.
A-tension "Angels" makes me laff though people paying £200+ for it, i remember thinking it was a rip off at £50 when i was at school and it was popular. Wish i'd stockpiled a few copies now cos the aussies dont half pay good whack for it, shit tune aswell i think only good for u18's.

I completely understand what your talking about though...spending THAT much money.
But i have a reverse effect, I have my digital junk but i would pay ALOT of money (even double the worth) to have a V.E.G.A.B.O.N.D./Dreadhead CD. You dont understand. I envy the vinyl dudes who can pick up this guys' massive massive floor-stompers.
I firmly believe this guy needs to have his music heard on a digital scale. (Amount of Vinyl Dj's <> Amount of CD'J's) = a whole lot more people hearing it. :D

sorry didnt mean my post to come across as anti digital cos im not at all. Just these old classics arent available on digital unless you get a pirated copy off someone which is more than likely not gonna be up to scratch qualitywise.
the way i see it is my record collection is what i have instead of a bank account with savings in. I rarely pay over the going rate for a vinyl and am a serious bargain hunter, so anytime i need cash i sell a few of the wanted tunes.
Then comes the test if i go buy another copy of the tune then that means i cant live without it, but if im not bothered after it's sold it wasnt worth having anyway.
I get where your coming from with not everything been available on digital cos it certaintly isnt for me. Most of what i buy is old scottish/dutch with the odd bit of gabber/terror/speedcore now and again. None of this is available on digital but if it was i'd have no hesitation in buying cdjays to go along with my technics.
The way i see it if theres demand for people to purchase music there should be a way to do it whatever format. Producers are in a sticky situation though trying to make enough cash to cover costs so i understand why they cant all the time.

i didnt think anything of your earlier post. you just reminded me that it really IS worth it in the long run to spend some cash (even a little extra if need be) on some tunes.

I've bought so many records of the last two years, even included a new mixer. I'm still trying to figure out how to make ends meet, by my obsession to buy records in the UK and in Holland at the same time.
Now, all I need are new needles, some thirty records I want to have and some money to start up my own rave. The last one will never come true, sadly, and the thirty records would have to wait, since I'm still making ends meet and standing debt for month after month...
I case you haven't noticed, I keep the amount to my self
