Thanks everybody for the warm (and occasional violent) welcomes. It's nice to see greetings from all around the world. I almost have an urge to move to the U.K. it seems most of the great hardcore comes from there and Germany. I don't understand why it's not as embraced over here in America. A few years ago there was a "raver" scene that was booming and even the the stores like Hot Topic started carrying all raver gear, and everybody was all caught up in that scene (but I think it was only for the drug aspect of it all) because they all quickly abandoned it when the EMO/INDIE ROCK thing came around.
....recommendations? haha.
Get you're arse over to the UK bro! Plenty of raves for all hardcore styles! The only bad thing about the UK is the crap weather. Welcome to the site anyways
This site is an excellent source of information, artists and record label reps post info here all the time on the latest hardcore. Just keep checking the forums and the news page for samples and links.

Really? so I can expect Masters of Hardcore or Hellraiser in your country soon? Haven't seen a rave that was all Dutch style recently in the UK
hahaha...
If there was or will be, I'm the first one on the plane hahaha

Embrace your Minorty-ism! THE USA likes EMO-tards who dont cut their hair, Rappers who wear chains TOO big for their necks, and Pop Bands that all can dance the same way to crappy-ass music. No thanks!
welcome! and id hate to be in florida, toooooooo humid for me! :D

hey man u cant really complain in the US compared to Australia, Im pretty lucky living in sydney 5 mins from where raves are usually held, but if u go elsewhere in Australia hardcore events arent that many in number.
In fact heres a little fact, the sydney superdome (i like to hink of it as a ravers dream venue) makes more money than any other event complex apart from madison square gardens in the world :D
Hehehe and i live so close, makes other ravers who come interstate green with envy, I am such a lucky guy

Plenty of dutch style hardcore raves in the UK there just not nearly as big, you'd be lucky to get 1000 people there let alone 10 - 15'000 (remember we're just a spec of an island:)). There is also nearly always a hard room at every hardcore event in the UK, for example:
Nitrgoen Room:
Evil Activities
Tommyknocker
Scott Brown
Clarkee
Mastervibe
Ephexis
At the upcoming HTID. We tend not to have too many dutch DJ's playing though but I'm sure you know who producer, scorpio, hellfish, simon underground, etc are, their all regulars amongst many others. Do you have much acid techno in Holland?

The top three DJ I know. They play quite frequently in Holland. Clarkee, I only know by name...
But the rest you mentioned are unknown to me.
We had a whole scene with Acid Techno. It kind of collapsed, I guess, it isn't so big anymore, it now more a techno scene and not so much acid...
But then again, I'm hardcore and not techno

Ah cool was just wondering cus I've never heard much of any dutch acid techno, I'm hardcore too but a bit of proper techno doesn't go a miss ;) You've never heard of the others? Have you not heard of deathchant records? If not be sure to check them out i'm sure you'll love it.

Well, it doesn't ring a bell, but it kind of looks familiar.
I don't know if it's widely spread in Holland, though.
I'll look into it... *hold on for one sec*
Ha, cool! And I so stand corrected. (I love my webshop, guys you rule)
I'm amazed. Didn't notice them before hehe. I'll check them out and will add them to my wish-list if I like it. This month alone I allready have a want-list containing over thirty records varying from Breakbeatz UK to Dutch HC! This will be an exprensive month haha

Good stuff :) If you like it fast, and messy i'm sure you'll love it. You sound like me can't move in my room there's so much vinyl stacked everywhere.

thanks theKid for the compliment. I'll probably end up being irritating at some point, but I don't think I'll end up being rude.

welcome to the site dude! Hmm, i think florida/the south east US is the only place (that i know of) that doesn't have some kind of hardcore rave scene. There used to be stuff in Georgia, but I don't know if they are still doing things. anyways, welcome, and enjoy your stay =)
there used to be a club out in fort lauderdale that was blaring hardcore ,plhuid or some shit like that(fuild just spelt all f**ked up) dunno if its still around as i haven't been back there since i moved out to the west, also west palm had a couple of underground gabba parties constantly.
