I'm not sure how people are on this board to newcomers, but you can kick me in the face if you want. Anyhow, I'm really impressed with this site. I've only been listening to happy hardcore for like 3-4 years and I still feel like there is a lot more for me to learn. The only things I own are all the Happy 2B Hardcore Volumes, a couple of Bonkers volumes, a Breeze CD, and a few other questionable things that MAY or MAY NOT be considered hardcore. I don't know much about the whole scene, so I won't pretend I do. All I do know is that this music makes me feel really good and pumped up, and I get lots of shit for liking it from friends. I'm definately not listening to "BE COOL". I guess that's something about this type of music. People don't listen to "BE COOL" because I've YET met anybody who enjoys this music and you probably get more shit for listening to it than anything.
I also am skeptical that any clubs will play this type of music anymore. I'm moving back to Orlando in June. Maybe somebody knows something about that area and places that play this type of music
Finally,
I'm up for any recommendations on titles.
I like nice melodies and nice pounding kicks. :)

Welcome mate, there are loads of members on here from the US so i dont think u will have any problems finding events etc....

welcome to the site mate. from what i have heard hardcore is everywhere, so i am sure that they do play it near u. if not...

I live in Nashville, TN and there are plenty of clubs that play hardcore every now and again. I got Vanderbilt's Radio Station to play a Neophyte tune once.
If you search for hardcore, you will find it.

welcome to the site dude! Hmm, i think florida/the south east US is the only place (that i know of) that doesn't have some kind of hardcore rave scene. There used to be stuff in Georgia, but I don't know if they are still doing things. anyways, welcome, and enjoy your stay =)

Thanks everybody for the warm (and occasional violent) welcomes. It's nice to see greetings from all around the world. I almost have an urge to move to the U.K. it seems most of the great hardcore comes from there and Germany. I don't understand why it's not as embraced over here in America. A few years ago there was a "raver" scene that was booming and even the the stores like Hot Topic started carrying all raver gear, and everybody was all caught up in that scene (but I think it was only for the drug aspect of it all) because they all quickly abandoned it when the EMO/INDIE ROCK thing came around.
....recommendations? haha.
