Which Hardcore track should never make the charts? We have all seen Shooting Star, Pretty Green Eyes, Heart of Gold and many others get remixed for the charts. I would hate 1996 classic Wanthing to Get High (Smoogies awake) by Hixxy and Sharkey which is my fav Hardcore track hit the charts!
Your thoughs on a topic someone else has already done?

For me that would be NOTHING!!!
Why? Because remixing a track just for the records makes it Commercial. Every one knows what commercialising does to Hardcore
We here in Holland have got DJ Darkraver. For those of you that might know him, he was indeed one of the most respected hardcore DJ in Holland, because for us he was the first "dark" DJ good enough to spin records. I've listend with great pleasure to his mixes.
But now... He's pretty much an has been. Not because he's not good any more, but because he has mixed OLDSKOOL hardcore only to hit the charts of the Breezah (skihut) people
It's so very very wrong....
Commercialising is not good at all....

All of it but especially Charlie Lownoise & Mental Theo - Wonderful Days ( i do apreciate that it probably did chart back in the mid 90's when it was released.)

Well I supose Berri- Sunshine after the Rain (1994) which Paul Elstak was behind got me into to dance then I wouldn't have been after 1990s dance music back in Febuary 2004 then I wouldn't have got Hardcore Heaven Summer 1996 and I wouldn't be here now, I would be listening to Clubland Extream Hardcore unaware of the old skool beats!!! But I'll be offended if my favorate tracks made the charts.
Keep your opinions comming

if a HardCore tune, gets in the charts, but remains untouched ie. in its original form still.
then that would be pretty damn cool.
but that wont happen.
re-mixing a HC tune, so it'll get in the charts, well.... so what? ppl gotta make money i guess. and if its re-mixed, then it'll probably not be HC anymore anyway.
i like some of the flip n fill stuff lol.
i like lots of things, some things i dont like.
soo it doesent really bother me i guess :)

why you offended? it isnt your track to decide if it goes in the charts or not.
surely its up to the people who create the track to decide whether they want to do a chart mix or let someone cover it, people get bothered by such stupid things why not worry about something important.

I just don't want to here any chavs playing 'Wanthing to Get High' or 'love of my life' on their stolen phones on the bus when theya re bored say 'listen to this bangin' new 'ardcore track, it's proper init!' Thats when I would get worried because I would have heard the original of a track which means somting to me

Oh well, just think what the generation/s above us think when they here an old 96 set which would comprise mainly of stolen love songs from the 60's through the 80's :P.

innit the old sped up nursery rhymes argument, loadsa people i no dont like anything after 93. I just like what i like dont really care when it's made.
Evel man you need to chill out, when you make a tune that catches on you can decide whether you do a chart mix and leave other people to make that decision with there work.
Producers dont owe you anything but you act as if it's a disaster they've changed there style from 10 years ago, need to think about it properly it's there life and they dont care what you or me or anyone else thinks of what they do.

^^ Exactly, and I think people forget this is their bread and butter, they're not going to turn things down like CXH just because of the risk (heaven forbid), it might expose hardcore to a wider audience...

The only reason it won't is because hardcore singles are never available for widespread purchase.

True... This was also the case in Holland... but that time has past and now a days "we are supposed to" watch half dressed "babes" dance to music I don't like. That music has nothing to do with music, it's all about sex/sexappeal and whoes is "hot" ...
And then they wonder how so many teenagers suffer with anorexia or personatilty disorders....
It's sad really...
