Just wondering if anybody has ever listened to a tune and thought "yeah, nice one, this is sweet" and then the lyrics kick and it's like "What the ****!? WANK!!"
I had this the other day although i can't remember what tune it was.
And just off the top of my head - "I'll get my crew, i'm right there", can't remember what tune that is either but i remember that bit sounding ****in shit. 21st century rush?

I know what you lot mean. there are loads of tunes out there that i can think of where the lyrics do mess up a tune for me; just can't immediately think of a specific example.
But i know of one that pisses Baldo right off!!

hahah, i find it a hilarious random little drop but it does mess the tune up.

Whilst we're talking about that subject Bone son, I'm pretty much against MC's really anyway, i think it can spoil a good piece of music. I used to proper hate it, but now i'm just not too keen on it.

good sample, horrible track...doesn't fit it at all...if you're going to use that sample the track should make you feel like you have your shit kickers on
theres been loads of stuff that the vocals just completely ruin a tune, hence why I prefer just samples =P

alot of MC'in i cnt stand, but the like of whizzkid capture the hardcore spirit perfectly! the likes of storm need to be burned at the stake

I think that tunes mint, totally don't mind the Strikeage of King Solomon bein in there. Quality tune.
Still tryin to think of examples where the lyrics have messed a tune up. I started this thread and should of thought about it better really. I know they're out there jus can't think of em!
