Looks like Blue Frog's 'do not spam' list has been hacked and the site has been has been brought down by spammers.
So all addresses are now comprised. Looks like the spammers have won again.

It doesn't stand for anything, it is just unsolicited e-mail. There is some connection with a Monty Python scene, but I am not sure what.
I also heard once that it was Strategically Placed Advertising Mail, but no.
From another site:
quote: There is some debate about the source of the term, but the generally accepted version is that it comes from the Monty Python song, "Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam, lovely spam, wonderful spam…" Like the song, spam is an endless repetition of worthless text. Another school of thought maintains that it comes from the computer group lab at the University of Southern California who gave it the name because it has many of the same characteristics as the lunchmeat Spam:
* Nobody wants it or ever asks for it.
* No one ever eats it; it is the first item to be pushed to the side when eating the entree.
* Sometimes it is actually tasty, like 1% of junk mail that is really useful to some people.

Right peeps, Fred is back up now and reporting. Hope you've saved up all your spam from the past few days!!!
I find it incredibly ironic that the spammers don't like being spammed and have to resort to these attacks.

At least it proves that Blue Frog actually works, and the spammer attack has made big news with him taking down an internet backbone and 9000 servers. It can only be a big advert for Blue Frog and they should get more members now.
Apparently the spammer actually said 'if I can't spam, then there will be no internet.' I think he actually believes he can take down the internet single-handedly.

Well it looks like Pharmamaster won, blue security have quit and shut their site down to avoid any further trouble. I'm disappointed they gave up so easily.
I guess the spammers are the rulers of the internet and there is nothing we can do about it.
