Hixxy just doesnt vary his remixes enough they all sound the same now, and yes I may have liked the first few choons that incorporated this style but its boring now and on CXTH2 Hixxy basically put a lot of choons many with the same style together which is starting to put me off -I'm not denying his abilities at producing, just his ability to vary what's being released presently.

Roll on more choons like-

-R U Ready?

-Bass Beats & Melody

-Injected With a Poison

-Just Accept It (his new remix but ignoring the cringeworthy clubland intro )

I'd be being unrealistic if I wanted more choons similar to the older Bonkers to be Released - even though they were good and better than stuff released now (debatable) as it mainly has the same layout with 2 breakdowns and a bassline which fits the female vocals perfectly!

The tunes listed still have the "new style of Hardcore Sound" but are just more interesting overall and more importantly, more stompy!
Is the disputed King Of Hardcore losing his touch?
IMO producers from labels like for example: Evolution, New Generation or Essential Platinum are presently doing a much better job at keeping the scene interesting and exploring the possibilities of hardcore to a MUCH fuller extent.
Opinions?

I'd say thats pretty damn accurate (or close to my opinion, at least )

I thoroughly agree! I think that Hixxy is a great artist, but is a tad bit out of his element on new things. Given his talent though, I predict that he will adapt to new sounds, and master them ;)

Hixxy's mix is one of the best hardcore CDs i've heard in recent years. I suppose everyone has their own opinions but i think hixxy's style is a good one.

If thats what floats ur boat, I just need my Hixxy hardcore fix, and all that stuff on CXH2 sounded like it was all off the same production line

Best Hixxy remix ever? hmm let me think, ah yes thats right- The Time Pan Shout Now (1995) both original and Hixxy remixes are great! It uses the kickdrum Hixxy used at the time and has a good vibe to it!

Yeah, "On Fire" Ruins The Beginning of Bonkers 15 - would rather it started with Dance Me and just skipped "See The Light" too.

Final Destination on CXH2 is great.

Also, I really enjoyed his remix of DJ Kurt's Rock Ya Hardcore.

I like most of his remixes, and the work he's doing with Recon is amazing.

Although, Elevator (Hixxy & Styles on CXH2) is one of the worst songs ever.

Yes - fosho, the inspiration remix blew everything else out of the water - I love Re-con, just hope he stays varied!

AndI agree with the Elevator Comment - poor effort
