ive posted a topic about this before but since then ive quit college and everything fooked up a bit, if im looking to get an apprenticeship wit a company do i go through the college? or do i need to ring up the employer themselves and ask are they willing to take on an apprentice? anyone else currently doing an apprenticeship?
Im considering to apprenticeship in plumbing and although i could probably do well at most subjects at college i am the laziest fook around and could probably only progress if i was earning at the same time, hense an apprenticeship!
thanx for any advice!

You can do no harm by calling a company, they like to see enthusiasm.
In anycase, it's good to have a trade behind you. Sure it's not going to make you a million pounds, but it's a secure thing to have. Good look matey.

It's a good way to learn but not for me. Only lasted two weeks. Total waste of time IMO but I have seen others do well out of it so good luck

How can learning a trade be a totaly waste of time? As long as we're alive we will always need plumbers, electricians, gas men, bakers, butchers ect...
As long as we have these needs then it's not a waste of time.

It was a waste of time for me, not other people. I'm one of those people who goes to college full time, not once a week to work in a busey enviroment.
