I've got one of your tracks from a while ago Xtarsia called morning light and its lovely.

very trancy sounding but simple euphoric not overdone with pop music or scouse house stylings.

I really like spennos productions aswell, i feckin love real trance its that watered down middle of nowhere stuff that f*cks me off.

you've got the right attitude, hardcores not worth the hassle for the money anyway so just working on tunes for yourself is much more rewarding.

So aye keep making songs you like and im more than happy to listen to them

I just think its impossible to create a happyhardcore track now! technology is so much better it just wouldn't work! happy tracks from the past worked because they were so simple and used the perfect equipment of that time! remixes now days of the old tracks sound to polished but its the same of all genres of hardcore! the old gabber tracks were really basic to begin with but had the same feeling as happy tracks 2 years later! problem with hardcore at the mo is theres so much out there it gets harder to find a track that you really love! and find original! but thats also good because it means youve got so much choice at the mo it means we are all spoiled! hardcore always yo-yo's so enjoy it! I still play ACEN - trip II the moon patr 1 at least once a week

really im happy with how it sounds its not perfect, and while the advise ppl give me would poilish it up and with hours of work it could be up to release worthy standard (yeah right lol) its not about that.

try not to look at it as too much polishing.

tracks need to be polished for sound quality.

the problem is there really isnt any innovation going on.

hhc has its trancy synth lead

freeform has its acid and saw sweeps

breakbeat is...well...kfa has some good stuff. the rest is getting too "techy".

it seems everyone is getting too epic. i dont like listening to a new song thinking "well, i guess the good part is coming next then its back to the kick bass kick bass until its peaks once more before finishing".

kinda like how dnb is getting too bland

Mottos:

DNB - With NEW & IMPROVED 3 min pad intro!

Hardcore - Now with more sub genres than trance!

A little randomness from me.

thats why i like fishys stuff

its just so freekin mental!!

it goes, play, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM, stop

he spits u out the other side having rammed happy, funky, and hard down your throat all at the same time, with no chance for catching your breath!

ive never been a fan of stuff that repeats itself either, as u say, with the build up, back down to just kick n bass, and then a second build up to whats pretty much the same.

to quote you just push the little button under format, it's on the bottom row 9th one across. looks like a piece of paper with a red arrow. then just copy the text you want to quote.

quote:
im a monkey's uncle

to get on the motto thing, i was just raggin on how hardcore keeps spliting into more sub genres

next up, freeform-basscore. no one dances, they just shake with the vibrations.

I have to disagree. The style has changed, surely, but there's still new happy and uplifting stuff around. See the other posts.

Actually, at the moment I'm working on some old style happy hardcore tracks, with a real 1995 to 1998 feel to them. Not sure what I'm gonna do with them yet, we'll see. ;)

Hardcore Heaven 3 has had a few 'Happy' tracks in it but I think people use the term 'Bouncy' more now. Tracks like Tune in by Stormtrooper and Stick 'em have a nice rave feel to them. Also listen out for Seduction's stuff- Boucy Techno only with soft beats and AC Slater's Crowd control has an old skool feel to it. The beggining of DJ Petruccio vs K Complex's Give into the motion has a bit of bouncy techno in it.

Fergus Mayhem's Take control has the old skool 'piano' in it but the original in Sharkey's mix on Bonkers 15 is the better IMO. Oh and then there's DJ Kurt's Posse and crew which could be a bit more 'happy' along with MC Storm and Gammer's 21st Centry Rush.

So there is a fair bit but not as nearly as much as there could be IMO

yeah dito!

loving petruccio at the minutre watch out for his new track comin out also, its all about the party vibe, sharkey and kev energy play alot of new happy hardcore tunes at raves when they actually play some hardcore, i hear sharkey rincin out stick em , workin up a sweat, count of three and take control all the time!!
kev energy also plays tunes like rythem and give into the motion and donkey punch which i still find happy!
like sharkey always says "its all about having fun"
