Im semi 'chav' :)
most of my mates fit into the description of a 'chav'
My closest mate at work is the biggest townie going!
My closest mate at college wears tracksuits gold rings on every finger and about 10 gold chains. she does up her lil shiney blue saxo and blares out RnB and hip hop and goes to the cruise every sunday night. She is the most genuine girl in my class... knows how to have a laugh, and never lets me down.
Some of my mates have babies and theyre 16/17.

Yeh, the bus station is bad at the moment. It has been like that for a wile though but I have some 'respect' round there coz I own all the Bonkers. I don't want them to like me! The worse time was on the 94 from Upton. It was terrible. At least tehre are no chavs in my house!

I don't have a problem with the way people dress, if someone wants to wear tracksuits and bling its their desicion. in fact i guess i got a couple of mates who might be classified as "chavs" and they're solid.
its the anti social attitude that i object too, and like it or not the majority of anti social behavour that happens (well in my town anyway) is caused by people who might fit into the chav stereotype. i dont think i should have to put up with having insults and dirty looks thrown my way just becuase i wear jeans and a metallica t-shirt. i get shouted at when im cycling home in the wee hours of the morning by dickheads going 50 down a 30 road. yada yada yada sorry about the rant :P

I thought I had to post on this topic with all the stuff being said. Well first of all I apparently come from one of the biggest chav towns in the country, quoted from the website Chavscum (or chavtowns or whatever its called), known as Widnes. As Spoone said the only thing I don't like is the anti-social yobbish behaviour in my town that is mainly due to your stereotypical chav, or townie or trendie or whatever they are now.
I'm not saying all chavs are scum, as with teenage fashion I once owned a tracksuit and hung round parks drinking cider, in general having a laugh and they were good times. The chavs I hate are the ones that do indeed beat people up, rob ipods from other kids, happyslap etc, and then when they are 18 sign straight up to the dole because they were too ignorant at school or college to learn anything, and in the process take hard-working's people tax money. Thankfully it is these people that will (hopefully) either spend half their lives homeless or in jail, or both.
Back with the music front, I have never gave one ounce of shit what other people think of my music tastes, as all of my mates all hate hardcore anyway and continiously take the piss. I admit I do drive round on with loud hardcore music blasting out, and if people think I'm a good for nothing chav, well screw them, because I don't care.
At the end of the day, it's only music

I think windbreaker trousers (there must be a shorter word, but my dictionary didnt know any) are the best :)
