Wow, what a cool thread. Both Kathryn and Lauren are back in town, AND for the first time ever I have seen somebody trying to take the mick out of people typing properly!!! Fantastic!!! Thats just made my day!
I've not really got anything to add to this except I find it really hard to take any post seriously that is written in this made up text speak.
Its not so much cutting corners like using abbreviations like pls, wtf and sum. As Gobbo says substituting in y for i (like/lyke and time/tyme) is just like trying to say "hey look at me and my cool style writing".
Its your call if you want to type like that, I for one don't mind either way. But similarly it is my call wether to be bothered taking the time to decipher your code, and then to even take it seriously. To answer a couple of points though.

Most people I know are polite when they talk if thats what you mean? But you have to understand that verbal and written communication are totally different! You can't convey emotion as easily in written communication, theres no room for accents in written communication (unless your scottish apparently!). Sure, everybody abbreviates when writing stuff down, but mostly people try and stick to the same language. Inventing your own spelling just confuses the issue. I find it no harder to type in proper English than in abbreviated speak - in fact a point proved extremely nicely by Mr Bulby!

seriously i think that was just class what you have written there it shows that you realy used your thoughts n conveyed it into a very long essay i am actualy surprised that i read it but it still didnt change anythin the only thing that i dnt understand is why people think that wen u tlk lyke this that you are a chav i mean jus cuz u type lyke this does not put you into a category where people hang around and talk lyke this jus cuz i speak like that does not mean anything so u can not call me a chav if the only proof you have is by the way i speak
