Walcott has played zero amount of football this season!!!

I can't believe he makes a world cup squad by not playing 1minute of top flight football! At least when Defoe plays he scores!

The squad looks poo, and why name Rooney & Owen (with less chance of making it, and not Ledley King, who had the lesser of all the metatarsal injuries and an extra 2 weeks recovery time ahead of Rooney!).

I know mate. The squad is ****ing bollocks. Theo Walcott doesn't deserve a place in the squad no matter how good people think he is.

It's not the best thats for sure. It's good that Lennon & Downing are in there, but Walcott, Campbell & Bridge I don't agree with.

Defoe should have made it, we're really struggling for strikers.
King also deserves a place.

Walcott - a shock but there had to be one didn't there!

Wright Phillips has had a really poor season - he stood out in a rubbish Man City team but he's been relegated to a nobody at Chelsea.

Some interesting choices I agree, but Sven knows more than us so I'm only going to judge when I've seen the squad in action next month.

OK SWP being left out did surprise me as he is proven as a decent player for England, but when it comes to the World cup, Sven will not take off the captain for SWP, unless Beckham gets injured.

Walcott in my opinion probably won't feature much in the World Cup anyway, but if he does then he has one advantage over all the other strikers. The fact that he hasn't played a senior game, means that other teams will not know how to deal with him, as there is no footage of his playing style, unlike that of Rooneys, Owen etc.

in any other country the top scoring native would be in the team no doubt - villa (spain), Kuyt/Huntalaar (Holland), what bent has to do is beyond me, so what he had a bad game against uraguay(def not how u spell it) beckham hasnt had a good england game for four years, I watched jenas for three years at newcastle and i think vanessa feltz has a better five yard pass accuracy. Defoe is average. SWP is exciting, walcott as a fifth striker i would have accepted but prob starting even in warm up games is daft. We love putting pressure on youngsters in this country, even with our best squad brazil are too good mind
