hey all, i'm pretty new on here, so i though i'd say a lil hi to everyone first up :D
secondly, i'm entering a local dj comp where i live(perth, western australia). its for dj's who've never played professionally b4, and i'll be in there giving them a lil taste of hardcore!
generally speaking its going to be a hard trance dominated competition, but i'm hoping being different will give me a bit of an edge :D
i was just hoping that you guys could give me a lil advise that could help me do that little bit better. generally i use vinyl, i can mix of cdjs as well, tho not quite as well, but i hav some tracks i must drop that i only hav on cd :S
here's what i'm going to play on the night, its only a 30min set so there's only a couple of tracks in there.
scott brown vs ultrabeat - elysium [i go crazy] (scott brown remix)
breeze & styles - slide away
4 rising stars - feelin me (breeze & styles remix)
force & jack speed feat lisa abbot - whenever you need me
eclipse - be happy
darwin - take a ride (gammer remix)
impact & resist - someday
like i said, any help and support would be much appreciated.
heats start on june 9th, and i havnt been told what date i'm on yet, so i'll keep u all posted.

good luck matey!!! always up for supporting an aussie DJ!! your tracklist looks banging, come over to sydney for a competition ;)
why not record your set and post it up here? that way quite a few of the more senior members who have been DJing for a few years can give you a few tips?

ry not dropping all the B&S type tunes and playing freeform. That would go down better at a hard dance event imo
