why are you selling your decks Dave? You gave up on Hardcore... Don't say you're giving up on them too!? (or is it just an upgrade?)

Sorry about the big post.
Yeah im giving up Dj'ing ... naaaaah not really im going into CD's now, alot easier & alot cheaper & the fact that cd's of course do not pop & even sometimes skip.
Im willing to accept around £450 now for them, i think they will be going on ebay soon if no-one want them.

I would be mate, but my cash needs to be directed in other directions for the time being.
Don't let DMS hear you praising the small shiny discs though, you know how stuck in his ways he is!

I'm intressed...
I'm over in dudley at the mo working my ass off for the next 3 weeks fitting double glazing and with the money i make i'm gonna be finnally treating myself to buying some decks around the end of next month...
Altho when the time comes... I'm gonna be doing ALOT of research...
I might have the nolege when it comes to the music, producing, mixing and the sofeware...
but when it comes to hardware... I SUCK!!!
Something i've really got to learn really before i start spending my hard erned cash...
altho i really ent that fussed what i start out on... aslong as it gets the job done...
but I'm also a sucker for buying good quitly stuff...
hey if the jobs gotta be done... its gotta be done right... correct?
and if the guy above says technics are hard to come by for that price... then i guess thats a smaching start...
You most likly won't hold them that long... and I'm not asking you to as i can't give you 100% that i will buy them...
But if anyone has any info i should know about hardware... decks... mixers, evan lighting...
basiccly whats good and whats not...
then please let us know...
would mean alot to me... cheers

you CANNOT go wrong with technics mate. if they are in good condition then £450 is a good price
as for mixers... your best trying them out cause its personal preferance (unless u want club standard which is usually the djm 600. completly upto you though, personally i would get one again, probably look into a djm 707 or 909, or for a 4 channel mixer the echler nuo 5 the dennon (the cant remember the model) or the allen + heath xone 32/62)
needles for house use (depends what speakers ur using) but if u aint got anything fancy then pretty much anything will do, but if u start getting quality monitors then you want to look into concorde's or the concorde om's, i think the blue dj ones are the best priced ones, if u start playing out anywher u can easy but some nightclub tips
sorry to kinda hijack the thread but i hope that helps u a bit Sk8SiM mate

Come on man are you off your head don't sell your turn tables!!!!!!!!
Vinyl rules, they stupid shiny things you call CD's are ******* ****
I own a CDJ1000 and belive me it just collects dust the only time i use it is for accapella's or samples
the only reason i bought it was to familarise my self with them as the club i play at got a couple in to go with the turn tables and believe me it was a waste of £700
Vinyl = No 1
