Hi

Can someone please tell me why this has been moved into the "other genre" forum? This is a HARDCORE label so surely it should stay in the hardcore discussions section?

Thanx.

propably because it's more breakbeat than hardcore?

edit1: someone of the mods must have listened to the samples and concluded that it's not hardcore

breakbeat hardcore was the style in england up til 95-96, only when happy hardcore started using a bit of the scottish bouncy techno style did it go 4/4

anyway back on topic wkd work, aint got time to listen to them all jus now but what i did was top class, really interested in this style is far more hardcore than sped up dancy shit and i need to get out to an event doin it.

respect, chris

Yeah it gets played at Uproar. It's new hardcore in the style of the original "oldskool hardcore" (pre kickdrum only led happycore) as Chris said. It may be slower that todays stuff but it is hardcore without a doubt and certainly deserves to be moved back to hardcore discussion :(. It's hardcore's roots.

Just given them a listen and I like, would be better a bit faster I think but thats just personal preference.

I am shocked at the attitude or is it ignorance of Samination and Silver! Hardcore is more than just what is played in the main arenas at raves and breakbeat hardcore is part of hardcore history! Some people say that Hardcore Breaks are starting to take off over here in the UK and we will see more and more emerging into the scene (a good thing imo as variety is the spice of life!) so accept, get used to it and put this thread back into the Hardcore discussion area As silver says "It's all Hardcore!"

Kat

Don't lump me in Samination comment, his opinion is his own, with the exception of real oldskool which is the basis of alot of genres, hardcore music (all types of it) have the golden 165BPM limit, if you go lower than 165BPM it is not considered hardcore anymore. This might sound stupid but it is pretty close to the truth.

I really enjoyed the tunes, I just think it was not people would identify hardcore music to be. If anything it's new oldskool... again, I love the tunes and I don't judge "hardcore" on what is played at major raves, but it is an easy way to get a point across.

I'll probably eat my own words in a few months and find myself DJing this... so don't consider this the final verdict on the matter, I'm just filing this... ahh screw it... I'll move it back if it makes people happy...I couldn't be bother to explain my position :)
