I'm sure I heard on this site that rapture will be having a hardcore show, I think it was Brisk who posted it.

ultrabeat u horrible horrible person!

Not hardcore though... Am pretty sure these versions of "dance" and "better than life" came before the hardcore versions too.

Hardcore is pretty much commercial all ready so get used to it.

Yeh Im not a big fan of ultrabeat too. God knows who directs those videos, make no sense wotsoeva. I mean the feelin fine video, those birds come across as hookers to me, taking pictures of eachother to post on internet to promote their escort company! But yeh they are fit and I would pay 4 their services if I werent a poor student and they were mayb escorts (could be!)

Still I am a massive fan Of mikey, think under Recon he is brilliant and producing some quality tunes, and he has a fantastic voice!

Like Recons remix of Dance but I actaully prefer Megara vs. DJ lee's remix, any1 heard it? mind u im a big fan of them too

i wouldnt say its pretty much commercial. Granted theres a lot more CD releases coming out these days, but I think its promoting the music and the scene, and most importantly i think that as the scene has evolved, the quality of the song and engineering has improved greatly.

There is a tendency for some of the raver baby tunes to sound very dancy, but there is such a diversity in sound ranging from energy/sharkey/nu energy -> scott browns harder style ->next gen -> rbc.

I think hardcore is going in so many directions its cant be titled as commercial.

I was at Insomnia lastnight, sitting by an open window to the street. It's amazing the amount of people who walked past the bar taking the piss out of the music by dancing like nob heads.

Aye and that was an event playing what i'd call good hardcore aswell.

Is mad like i do a music course so your talking people seriously into there tunes here, we've got rockers, ravers, grime mc's, hip hop the lot and i was embarrassed to tell them the music i mix until i could let them hear it.

As soon as you say hardcore people think your some 14 year old gimp with no taste listening to childish sped up dancy bollocks about angels and rainbows and sunshine.

Then when i brought in loadsa the breakbeat stuff mixing in with some dnb there faces changed, now even got a mate of mine who's an electro house dj right into his bouncy techno/gabber and he's came out ravin a couple times with me now.

The main reason some of them love it now is just how fun it is to mix, and how you can add cheese to breaks to gabber to madness. None of them have took to the speedcore apart from laughin for a bit but i can understand it aint for everyone.

I love a bit of the old ultracheese when i'm in the mood, energys immense. But especially with some of the newer stuff thats slightly more popular, people get totally the wrong impression about what i play if i say i like hardcore.

Does anyone else get embarrassed to tell people they like hardcore? I normally dont bother jus wait for them to pop by and do a set see what they think cos am not havin people think i like loads of the utter shit thats came out over the years.
