I gotta say mate, right now there looks nothing decent on to watch except Superman (which i've not seen but has had a few rave reviews.) Anyhow, is it just me or have films over the last few years been getting shiter? I mean, you can have all the cgi you want, but come on, the Star Wars sequels were dier, so was Terminator 3 and War Of The Worlds. All those movies were supposed to be massive follow ups, but they weren't exactly five star were they? The last films which were brilliant at the cinemas was the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, and even before that you have to go back into the nineties to find another classic.

I think films with the introduction of CGI have lost alot of what made them enjoyable, a freaking decent and compelling storyline!

Most decent films nowadays that come out are smaller ones that you don't really hear of like Hard Candy.

Downloaded Over The Hedge a few nights ago, yet to watch it properly but jumped through it a bit and looks good.

Pirates of the caribbean was indeed very very good. Captain Jack Sparrow was once again superb, brilliant character, loves it.

Yes the ending is shit and a shame, but it means another sequel, yes, get in

lotsa lil funny moments, and one bit that makes ya jump

Snakes on a plane looks cool too. although a lil too scary for me heh

Yeah I completely agree most movies are just a load of special effects and no bloody storyline it's a bit of a joke really. Prob. why I enjoy allot of chick flicks, realistic films with no special effects, comedies etc these days. Could just be that some of us are getting old enough to say "when I were a lad/las etc etc" though ;). Didn't go yesterday was well hung over (birthday celebrations :)) but am determined to get there next week. Still haven't decided what to watch though...

Let me also add that i'm talking about legendary well remembered films eg terminator, alien etc. Because i have seen some really good films that i've enjoyed over the past few years, just nothing that has stood out for me as something i'll always remember.
