I'd agree with the gabber. Used to think wtf is this, but after listening to it got in2 it, would av to blame scott brown for that
Recentley tho I would say Eryk Orpheus - P.V.C (festish mix) at first I thought what is this shit, now I kinda like it

For me the entire Hardcore scene was a pile of shit, and i used to hate even hearing the crap. I was a hardcore Trance fan, stuff like Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, and Paul Van Dyk.
I must admit, there will always be a soft spot in me where trance holds on, but for me, at this point in time hardcore is for me!
One day it all just did a backflip. i liked hard NRG, and i guess my brain said, "Why the hell not, just Go one step further!!"
and then the whole hardcore scene opened itself up to me and i have loved every minute of it..
And i have begun to convert my friends from their previous death metal influenced music tastes to a much better scene where we breed love and happines as opposed to the depressing shit that metal does.
There's my 2 cents..
Raver Angel out...

hmm good shout on another lonely day mortis, mine would be:
sy & unknown - listen to the ace
happy rollers - muzik - 98 breakbeat mix (ham or demo???)
that one with the 'under the bridge' sample and the vocal going "hardcore rockin' it"
Tappit and B&H - Wicked Sound
probably more as well...
that's 99 ham mix
under the bridge tune is called rockin' it =P
I enjoyed all of those when I first heard them, bought all of them as well =P
a good chunk of force & styles later 90s numbers I didn't care for (98 heart of gold still do) mainly due to growing up listening to dutch & scottish 'ardcore, didn't really start enjoying them till about '98
