Went off it for a while 99-01 as trance was the business and the hardcore i heard was shit.
Same, got into deep uplifting and hard trance and listened to Bonkers 7 and quit hardcore.
I differ slightly from 2001 onwards, I started browsing internet and downloading some classics and then eventually looked for Bonkers again, found this site around the time of Bonkers Resurrection and kept updated. Not really into hardcore so much right now - the major releases arent fresh in any way and I'm too lazy to buy single tracks.

Hmmm I got into Hardcore in about 96/97 so I missed out and grew up with listening to Stu Allen on Saturday evenings. Have a lot of wicked tapes I recorded off them. As my ears are starting to walk away from this new sounding hardcore (it's getting a bit boring) and I picked up moondance. Sweet cd I loved it then I got a mix from this site or ush. Dave Skywalker Oldskool set (wow). I love amen breaks etc so I'm kind of backtracking and I think my favourite track at the moment is ravers choice 2, it got brothers n sisters piano riff in it and some female vox. Evil kick and the breaks make me rush lol. I don't really know what im looking for but any pointers as I know this is the music I love! Any Artists, Dj's etc. please :)

Yeah same here, Culture Beat were the epitome of 'Rave' Culture. I dont know where modern Hardcore would be without them...

and my brother was like 'Kathryn get here now, hahaha he was cringing at the bar'

I'm too Young, so i missed all of this, tho i do appreciate the different waves, as my parents used to listen to it, dad was in his 20's as i was growing up (hes mid thirties now) so he was listening to the different phases through the 90's drumming it into my skull, ever since i've been independent enough to have a music taste of my own, i've liked dance, much at the ridicule of my friends, but then they started to like it, and i moved into hardcore about 1-2 years ago.

Yes, I am from the UK, a bit welsh mostly english.
Lived in Redditch and stafford in the midlands then moved to
the valleys then to Aberystwyth finally here so far....
On the Old skool note, you couldn't have flip and fill, 2unlimited , Mr Vain
without mentioning the magic that was London Beat. surely a true rep of what
the scene was all about while we're at it you may as well add wigfield or should
I say wigdefiled

i misssed it all and didnt see any part of this so called "amazing" time .p.s i envy you all.. But as a child (im talking 1-3 here) i was propped up in front of a television and apparently was luvin a television programme consisting of only rave music.. so in a way i was a lil raver in my own rights.
can any of you people tell me what that programme may have been?
