When im out and about it's either car stereo or my blaster

I don't do much walking either otherwise I'd use the MP3 player on my phone I guess.

My ipod battery seems to last ok, I can play it all day at work without it running out.

On the subject on the ipod, itunes 7 is available now and it finally has gapless playback and you can set which albums should be played gapless. Yay!! Unfortunately it only works on 5G or newer ipods at the moment though, hopefully there will be a 4G software update soon.

i cant imagine catching the bus without an ipod anymore... i bought one off my bro for cheap cheap so i didnt have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for it either and he got it free through a mobile phone deal so it was a win win situation

Personaly I love my i-pod for its sheer versatility (plus I got it for free!), but since getting my i-pod I have noticed the following pros and cons of each

cd player
bigger, clunkier
need to carry round CDs for each album you want to listen to - not so good on long journeys etc

ipod
smaller, more convenient
so much music can be carried round its unbelievable
I've found however that having so much music has made me think of music as being more disposable. Whereas I used to buy a CD and listen to it over and over again and again nowadays its almost like I listen to a CD 3-4 times then move on to the next one, or stick 20GB on shuffle and each track gets listened to 3-4 times tops.

So, from a convenience pont of view ipod/mp3 all the way!! Fromn a music appreciation I'd have to say CD player

mp3 cd player worked decently for me. The iAudio X5 is one of the best mp3 players, I'd go for that. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000AYWP0O/ref=pd_cp_e_title/102-2324306-0212100?ie=UTF8
The only difference between the X5 and the X5L is that the X5L has a much longer battery life, for a little more money the difference is worth it in my opinion
