What sort of raves do you think are best? Small ones with only a couple of hundred of people, or the pakced out slammers at places like the NEC? I have to say i have probably had my best nights at the smaller venues. You just cant beat the atmosphere, theres so much space to go crazy. I Prefer it to being squased at the front of a big'un!
What you think?

Always the smaller ones with the lesser known DJ's....that...or hardcore festivals. Can't be bothered going to the big raves..

I go to small events every couple of weeks, but only tend to go to 3 or 4 big events a year.

If you go to decent small ones you normally get squashed too, but sometimes the bigger raves are the ones which give you the most room to rave about.

I've never been to a rave with more than 600 people but I assume it's fun
the advantage of the smaller rave is that they're less commercial and have a different vibe (I assume) but I wanna go to a big hardcore rave cause they look awesome

1,000 people in a venue is usually too many hot sweaty bodies =P
prefer smaller gigs...more personable, don't loose people, and you don't have to walk a mile to get to the front =P

I tend to prefer a smaller and less crowded venue, but a huge massive is fun once in a while.

Depends really... The larger events tend to have the best production, lasers, lighting, djs, venues... BUT draw a different sort of crowd, who tend to be more of the clubber, showy "look at me, i'm here to pickup and look fully sick bro"... like comeon!! who can shuffle or stomp in stilettos??
the smaller events have the locals, and have a more fun atmosphere, and you go to meet people, friends, listen to some music, chill out and have a chat... BUT have worse venues, not as much lasers/lighting (but still put on a mad show!) and the night's more intimate and fun!...
The best event i've been to was Dream Universe, a really small (less than 400 people) event 2 hours out of sydney, but was the best rave!!!
*edit* i need to learn to type :P

I prefer the smaller raves 3000 or less, went birmingham nec on new years. That queue was so horrible it was unreal. I was queueing for 3 hours!! Guess that was my own fault tho getting there a bit late but never again lol

So looks like generally people prefer the smaller raves then. The bigg ones do get 2 crowded. Sometimes i even go into the hard dance room where there are less people...o the shame:(
