meh i use to watch it all the time and i even went to one of the event in aus but i just slowly moved away from it

Aaaahhh...this takes me back to saturday afternoons at my nans watching Big Daddy, kendo and Giant Haystacks. It was fun but slow, I was impressed with the dumb/deaf guy who always had a ref who could do sign language.
in the mid eighties I and my bro lived in ozzieland and were introduced to the wonderful world of the WWF ( as it was then ) I became a skinny 12 year old Hulkamanic ( what you gonna do when these biceps come down on you ) , My bro became a Mr Perfect fan. Who with the help of Big John studd and King kong Buddy betrayed and battered the hulk ( with the vitamins and praying to god ).
we returned to the uk and missed the finale but I gather Hulk ( Legdrop) won.
My grandad parents videoed the whole of Wrestlmania 3 and sent it over, I was devasted when I learn't Andre the Giant had gone ove to the other side. So many excellent matches but truely the ones that stick out were Hillbilly Jim vs King Kong bundy with midget ( one of whom he splashed at the end ) , Macho man randy savage( MMhh yeeaahh) vs Ricky the dragon steamboat for the intercontinental belt ( george the animal green tongue intervention all to the good ) and of course Hulk vs Andre the Giant.
Whilst in Oz we got to see WWF live the main event were Junkyard Dog, Hillbilly Jim Greg the hammer Valentine (figure 4 leglock ) and Brutus Beefcake.
Back in the UK I followed it for some time Macho man champ, Ultimate warrior, the original Undertaker ( who was scary ) Sting, Rick Flair, sid vicious coming across. just about followed up to stone cold steve austin the rock and triple H coming to emergance.
However the change of name ( it will always be the world wildlife fund to me

) and the replacements were not as good.
Ok so The Rock the people's champ but he could never replace the Hulkster ( even when they had a fight which was very silly )
I still catch it around my parents every now and then but the big events are pay per view so it seems daft to watch all the hype ( which I love ) but get none of the big confrontations and action.
If I was a wrestler I would be the patriot and the hulkster's best mate, together we would make up a tag team known as Shock and Awe. We would have a deadly move known as the Axis of Evil and batter anyone who dissed the war.
We would defend Blair and Bush ( which is ridiculous ) but I bet the crowd would love it.
