If you have got Darwin and Cube::Hard on board I think they should do the mixing. People will be more likely take notice of a CD mixed by known artists than a CD mixed by unknowns but with a few known tracks scattered.
Thniking of what Jenks said I know someone on this topic has anonmously done a remix of "u belong to me" which is brilliant and the type of track that would go down well!

This is a good idea, I personally think anything that can push our great music scene is worth chasing and can have some good effects on the scene. Promoting our music is good, but promoting it in the best possible manner and maintaining standards or bettering standards is imperative.
I have a number of tracks I could and would consider putting forward, I have my new label starting in the next month and have some spare tracks I would be willing to keep aside if this project lifts off in the right way.
Anyway, best of luck and it’s nice to see it’s getting some support and not knocked, look forward to reading more into this as it develops.
All the best.

I think this is a nice idea in theory, but it would be nice to see just how many talented artists you get on board. Some level of QA (Quality Assurance) has to be done in order for it not to flop.
I also think that it would be a good idea to get 1 recognizable DJ/set of DJs from each big continent to do each mix. America, Australia, and of course the UK being the biggest (in my opinion). That way the locals from each country will look forward to seeing their local scenes being supported and have a name they know attached to the project. You'd be capitalizing on name recognition which would help introduce unfamiliar names to those not "in the know".
Just my two cents really.

Well if you're talking about Hardcore (excluding gabber because APPARENTLY everyone in the states says the 2 are nothing alike) then does The Netherlands really produce enough in volume as to what's being made in AUS, the UK, and the US? I think as far as happy, breakbeat, and whatnot then The Netherlands can't really compare. I'll admit the boys over @ FiNrg have been making lots of stuff, but it depends on what kind of sound you're approaching.
I think if this idea is to come to fruition at all then someone needs to take charge of it and actually pursue it as opposed to just getting a bunch of general ideas from the public and just asking question after question. I'm sure if you get the right people lined up then you can get the right talent to submit work, or just get a bunch of up and comings to submit things then have some of the more outstanding up and coming DJs mix them.
Whatever your heart desires I reckon... I just had an idea and was expressing it. But I doubt enough people would even contribute music to fill 3 CDs if there's no money involved (I'm hoping to be proven wrong tho).

well unsugned producers dun get money if they put it on internet aswell.. so putting it on a mixed cd would get em known bit more.. so that no money shouldn't be a problem for unsigned..
and bout netherlands yer indeed we aint got that big happy scene.. but i ment like ppl from usa aussie and uk make gabba aswell.. thats netherlands origin so should be fun to make the cd's like
1. uk - happy
2. usa - rave
3. aussie - happy
4. netherlands - gabba
altho i also doubt if we get that much tunes.. but i know sum gabba producers.. ill hit em up about this soon..
just waiting for joren to decide wot he wants and who he wants..

everyone should submit a demo mix
...best mix determines who mixes the CD
I have a track in the works that might be up to par for a compilation CD

wouldnt it be better to do a demo mix with the tracks wh'er going to use on the CD's instead? =P
anyways, Gabber and Hardcore isn't the same... well Gabber is a faster version of Hardcore, which is usually as slow as hard style :P

Gabber/gabba is a type of hardcore and hardstyle is slower than any hardcore except oldskool hardcore and hardcore breaks.

Thanks for all the support, darwin i cant believe you wanna mix a cd :D
You're in for sure! My guess is that 1 out of 3 cd's must be mixed by a newcomer, maybe b2b, so we have 2 newcomers..
Maybe even 4 cd's..

As for the newcomer
Make a big contest (ie happyhardcore.com news, open to everyone on the board)
Every contestant must submit a mix showcasing technical ability (not necessarily track selection since we'll be limited to tracks produced by people on here).
I think Darwin & Cube::Hard mixing one CD each would be SWEET
but it'd be really cool to have a single mix by a newcomer or a b2b mix by two newcomers
and contests make the whole thing popular (free advertising)
