anyways, Gabber and Hardcore isn't the same... well Gabber is a faster version of Hardcore, which is usually as slow as hard style :P

not at all

gabber is actually faster than uk hardcore (it can easily go 180+ while all the big names in uk hardcore don't go past 175-178)

of course there's old style and nu style gabber (being Scott Brown EVO B side stuff for example)

Ophidian is coming here this month, I'll talk to him and see if he's interested in showcasing the dutch sound (for free) and I don't see why an artist wouldn't want the free adverstising...

I think Darwin & Cube::Hard mixing one CD each would be SWEET

but it'd be really cool to have a single mix by a newcomer or a b2b mix by two newcomers

and contests make the whole thing popular (free advertising)

Wouldnt that be ways to big if it will be advertised on the main site of happyhardcore.com?
About the cube::hard mix is not anything sure yet, and i'm interested in bounce too.

I think getting decent tracks should be to first priority, aswell as advertising and finding a suitable way to distribute it, obviously we aren't going to be short of people wanting to mix it, so that can be sorted out later ;)

I was thinking it would be a laf if it were a HHC.com Vs. USH.net CD, but then again so many of the producers post on both sites it would be hard to work out...

So...
CD1: Darwin
CD2: Cube::Hard (if he wants to...I hope he does!)
CD3: Reese or No Left Turn?
CD4: some gabber name maybe?
CD5: up & comer contest?

as for tracks...
we should have a selection board (QA like Reese mentioned earlier) - we don't want anything unprofessional (like off key sounds or out of time vocals)

you know what...maybe Chris Luna-C would be interested since he's working on a new supaset anyways (which is free)

with the amount of people involved the publicity this will get is phenomenal so it's definately a way for new producers to break through IMO

I think someone should get some made (maybe I could do it) and mail them all out for free to the big names so that the lesser known producers get exposure

I hope I will have at least one of my tracks up to a really good level so that it's good enough for this.

I think we should call it "Hardcore Freedom"

Since it's free and there's no restrictions on content since we're not doing it for mass sales

I got another idea

there's plenty of tracks that were never released due to samples being copyrighted and stuff (or just labels falling through and the track being forgotten about)

for example Stompy said "Nu Beginning" would never be released because the same sample was used in "Electric" which was released soon after

I remember him saying he would send it to people who wanted it so I can see him and other producers being willing to do that if contacted

Maybe we could round up enough tracks that way

i am soo loving the idea of this album. hardcore for the fans by the fans ace!!!

i wish my tunes were good enough but i have only started writing and they suck!!

i think the idea of cds of australian, n american and european is a wicked idea. some hardcore people have no idea there is excellent hardcore from all over the world.

one request tho can we have a cd with a decent cover no bright colours or childish pictures. this would be helpful at not marketing it towards chavs. if this is an underground album try and keep it that way please.
