I cant seem to burn a CD without it having a split second gap in between each track (Im not talking about the 2 second gap as the program has this option too) does anyone know of a freeware program which can burn CDs with ID3 Tags (preferably which can be dragged & dropped from itunes and burnt straight away) but which wont leave this tiny gap when going from one track to the next (p.s. I know this gap is not recorded onto the Mp3s as they play seamlessly in Itunes)
I am currently using Sonic Digital Media LE V7 Software - anyone else have this problem?
Any help appreciated!
Cheers!

Nero has the option to remove the gaps, but to be honest it doesn't realy work. I'd love to know which programs to use to split & burn files as seperate tracks without the skiping myself. I have so many mix's I wan't to burn but I always seem to get the skiping between tracks

But on Nero you have to type all the track names in for a start if im not mistaken, A "Cut & Paste" option does sound promising though, but i know what you mean Mortis, it's such an anti-climax when the tune's about to come in then you have a slight pause rather than a seamless drop!

well you could rip then put 01 02... 10 11.. 21 22 in front of the tracks and then burn em they'll show up in correct line

then push the anti gasp button and voilá

altho i think it automatic names numbers like 01 02.. ect..

(rip can be done with media player ;) )

altho i dunno why you want to burn legal cd's if you got em legal anyway.. :/

Cause I share CDs with my mates, the problem isn't ripping, btw, I can do that just fine, cheers for the advice, though I like to burn CDs where the track names show up on the CD player when they play, this can be done automatically with the software I'm using if the tracks have names in Itunes and you drag them into Sonic.

Have you tried burning them directly in itunes 7? Itunes is gapless now, not sure if it works with cds as well though I haven't tried it.

I used to use CoolEdit 2000 for that.

It opens the whole mix then from there you just highlight all but the first track, copy & delete, then save as track one.
Then clear the stage and paste so now you have the whole mix minus track 1. Then highlight the whole mix besides track 2, copy & delete, and save as track 2.
Then clear stage again and paste so now you have whole mix minus track 1 & 2.
Keep repeating that process until u finally split all the tracks.

A little timely but if soundforge can do it easier like JaXoN mentioned then I'd have a look into that too.

its a B*TCH, but you can make your CD one track in .wav form, and then write your own CUE file, then burn it in Nero. That'd be gapless

I use Pyro 2004. Inexpensive and easy to use.

You guys...

NERO CAN BURN True Gapless Cd's

When you put the audio cd together highlight all the tracks click properties and tick the checkbox that says 'crossfade between tracks' and make sure it is set to 0 seconds.

This will burn it true gapless. I use it for my mixes which i split up, works a treat.
