1) Get good
2) Send out demo mix's
3) Start producing (it seems most wanna be DJ's get booked if they make the odd good tune regardless of their DJ talent)
5) Work hard and take any booking you are offerd or can make yourself
4) Cross your fingers

Go to your brother and play on his cd decks. Buy another deck then you will have both styles to play with. One could be kept at yours. Get in touch with Will Martin and ask him for a few sessions.

It's best when you know someone who can already DJ, take full advantage of it
But dont try and mimic their every move, having your own style is half the fun
