that's probably the best advice you can get.
from what i heard its alot harder to learn on your own...as it is with anything really
the extra help can really benefit you
but also practice!!!
not just once a week, everyday, whenever you can even just for 10 min.

hey man im kinda in the same boat just started dj and dj at a party for the first time lol
but i would also recommend that you go to a dj kinda workshop/schoool, i did and learnt heaps from it
