Hardcore was all about Beats & Basslines but its more Trance & Hard House influenced now which IMHO is a shame. If you want some breakbeats & basslines check out the Hardcore Breaks scene. Far more interesting than 'Hardcore' these days.

Theres alot of really interesting stuff around, you've just got to find it. Its not all about Raverbaby!!
Check out some of the Japanese labels and the US ones. Theres some brilliant stuff coming over from the states and canada at the moment!

Well i blame the state of hardcore on mixes like this one:
http://www.happyhardcore.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=31768 Blatant advertising aside.... you checked out kniteforce records stuff? such amazing tracks all round. take a look at ghroovy or the japanese version of amazon (amazon.jp). Always something for someone.

I know more new JP than UK Hardcore CD's, its just that the UK ones are more mainstream (meaning you wount find any "big" ones, i.e. JP equivalent version of Bonkers or something like that). You can buy from e.g. http://guhroovy.hardrave.jp/
