still noticing a lot of raised eyebrows with the posts regarding the influx of cheesey hardcore, but does it attract more females to events/clubs etc? some of the harder 'core' (gabba etc) seems male orientated. am i wrong, or do you get a good 'mixture' following both? ...I don't get out much these days so i'd love to know!

Sounds about right in a way! I like music in all its forms, soft and cheesey to tough and banging, but generally the harder scenes are dominated more by blokes (who do often try to look hard!) whereas the ladies tend to be more into danceable stuff.

interesting point, as they always seem to use females wearing belts for skirts to TV advertise 'cheesey' 'hardcore' comp releases. same with a lot of the'front covers'...not that there's a prob with that, as sex sells. maybe it's cruical for commercial success

I notice a lot of women in hard house & jungle rooms but usually most women don't dance to hardcore here unless it's slowed down...but they do enjoy the freeform

yeah I never understood it either. most people dont' seem to realize that dnb is basically the same speed as most hardcore, but to them it's too fast? =P
I've been able to turn a couple heads here and there by mixing 'ardcore in with dnb to show them that 'yes it is the same speed' & 'no, it isn't all cheese' =P

yeah, if everyone were honest - males also - cheesey stuff with the big uplifing euphoric breaks gets your adrenalin going in clubs etc. it's about the 'feelgood' factor. maybe life's serious enough...although we should respect others tastes. leave the cheese alone!!
