yaeh mate i would play a breakbeat house set after a hip hop dj.maybe a bit grimey with the beats to keep it on the same level as hip hop.good luck

It was the biggest pile of ******** ever!!!!! Turns out it was some really shitty bar in a really shitty place and about 5 people turned up. It was a random night. My mate won a comp which meant he could put a night on. So it was just a case of getting as many DJ's as he could which meant there was no certain style or anything. We even had to bring out own decks and we got there I had to drive 15 miles back to my house to get some headphones because they didnt even have them. What a joke!

uhh why did you not have your own phones with you? If you are gonna be a dj make sure you bing your own gear. records, needles and headset.....thats like the first rule, dude

why didn't you bring your own headphones? that's something every dj should bring with them.
just because it was a joke doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously...sure you can screw around on the decks a lil but you should atleast be professional so you can use the space again.

no matter where i go i always take my own headphones and needles + a spare, even if i know there will be some already there i prefer to use my own gear cause i know what condition it is in
you cant be blamed for not taking them but also you cant blame anyone else!
i agree with what brian said, dont shoot yourself in the foot, you should be snapping up every opportunity possible for a chance to play out, dont turn your nose up at anything
