lol were bouts do u live? yeh im just kinda planning a rave but trying to get 1000 peeps if possible (dunno if it will work) but yeh anyway wat did u have to do to hold a rave?lyk was it legal ect PM me man

The music performance permits are mandatory in the US and Canada, however the clubs usually pay for it when they are setting up the business so it is not any worry to the promoters (and often not even considered). Technically, if you've got a track registered with BMI/SOCAN and you play it out, you can claim money from it.
If you're trying to do it legally - find someone with a big farm field/clearing, and get their written permission to host a private event. Also make sure that where ever this field is, that no one else can hear your music so the cops can't come on a noise complaint and shut it down. Typically each scene has some form of popular private/public spot that they can get easy access to.
