Rules & Prizes
1) The deadline for remix submission is February 1st, 2007.
2) Remixes can be from any genre !
3) The supplied parts are © Rezon8 2006. Permission is granted for use in this remix contest only.
4) All entry's will be required to submit a high quality 192kbps mp3 of their remix.
5) All submissions must be made via http://www.yousendit.com/. Any entry's sent via email or posted directly on the forum will be deleted and overlooked. 6) The winner will be selected by Vinney & Jorg. This winner will receive £100 payable via cheque or paypal. 7) The winning remix will be signed to Rude Records, however the winner will not receive any royalties from the sales. 8) All submitted remixes become property of Rezon8 & Rude Records. A remix will become disqualified if it is found as a single or in a mix on a downloading network (********, KaZaa, etc) or played in a DJ set by an artist other than the original remixer. A remixer is allowed to use their own remix in their own DJ sets. However, under no circumstances, can such sets be sold, offered for download, or distributed in anyway without being subject to disqualification. 9) By downloading the supplied parts, contestants agree to abide by all competition rules. Submission Infomation Contestants are required to pm 'Rezon8' on the forum with the link to their track, a valid email address containing their artist name, title of their remix and country. http://www.djrezon8.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123&page=2

why the hell does the artist dont get royalties for the rmx?
I find it ridicilous

i second that i think you should rethink that bit at least cut them a deal of some sort
hell u cant even buy a decent compressor for that of fl studio come on think about it

Its pretty rare for a remixer to get royalties for a track they remixed. Usually its a set fee, and the main artist collects the royalties.
Remix fees vary depending on the scale of the release, and the quality of the remixer.

Out of curiosity, if the track ever got signed to a compilation would the artist get royalties? Cause otherwise it's a bit ridiculous...
