This is a pointless question with no right answer.

Who would win in a fight, old skool or nu skool?

I personally think that, nu skool stuff is far superior to its old skool cousin. Mainly because nu skool isn't as cheesy although there is still cheese out there and I never listen to old skool anymore but thats probably coz ive over played them anyway

Both are good, and both have their time and place.

Yeah that basically it music evolves. In 10 years time music from this generation will also sound dated (obviously). but that doesn't mean you can prefer 1 more then another even if there are alot of factors to consider

"New Skool isn't cheesy" ?!?!?!? Its pure cheese eg. "Saaaaaaaaaave me"

Old skool can be as hard as you want it to be, bouncy techno is no where near as cheesy as new skool gaycore.

oldskool will always dominate over newskool.

today's stuff is too much happy n not enough hardcore (in spirit I mean).
don't know, I find newskool to be lacking something.

Some Nu Skool has WAY too much trancy happy feeling to it, with NO hardcore feeling to it at all (cept for the 170ishBPM, which doesnt mean crap to me anymore). But some songs (almost anything on Blatant Beats) do a decent job. I prefer Nu to Old, but Hardcore could be alot more harder than it is now.

I do miss the raw kickdrum, happy little melodies, and the chipmunk vocals just singing about love, sunshine, and rainbows. But I do love my Nu Skool cheese. I agree with Mortis, both are good and have thier own time and place. In my opinion, Old Skool would win.
