I am an part time employee there and have just about had it! No respect, short staffed and no humour 
I need a new part time job fast! Any suggestions on how to enjoy work while I am still there?

where do you work???? hmmm i hear ya on the short staffed business.... i work in an area thats really short staffed its just nuts.... spewing noone has humour... im one of the humourous ones at my work....
although they moved us all recently and the desks have massive partitions and i was like looking at a wall and had a 40 yr old next to me who was nice but i just couldnt relate to him.... felt like it was sucking the life out of me.... but ive moved now and its all the more better :) im learning to laugh at work again lol....
lol just randomly .... the other day our system failed so we couldnt do shit... and my boss is like "ok guys, i know the phones and system is down but you could at least do some filing while we wait for everything to come back online. i know everyone has some filing".... and ive pulled out my nail file and gone "yeah.... ive got plenty of filing to do" hehehe she laughed....

I work for the same company Smoogie, what is it that you do?
I'm a CDA (CTS too), I really enjoy the job, it's such a challenge and each day is different. It's a complicated role, but when you get it cracked it's really really good. The best job I've ever had, but I'll soon be leaving with a bit of luck.

Its a supermarket chain in the uk. Used to be the biggest iirc. Now over taken by Tesco and Asda/Walmart I think.

I think Sainsbury's is still its own company. Owned by Lord Sainsbury (or his family) isn't it?
Working in a miserable environment sucks. I'm lucky in that where I work is such a laugh. The work is dead stressful, but everyone is just absolutely nuts! The corner I'm in at least! Just wish we didn't have such tight deadlines!

Its parent company is J Sainsbury PLC. I think he might still be the majority shareholder dont know for sure though

far out, my job sucks but the enviroment is good, everyone is friendly however because we are there everyday, everyone knows
everyones business and then sometimes there are bitching-ness. but our work provides games so that we dont get bored. like
golf, bocce, darts, we spin this wheel that wines prizes and wine, hourly draws to wine wine, win .5 misc time (thats paid) to do what
ever we want. and other stuff. we have a massive office so we do all those things inside.

you waled out? I kinda got the boot yestuday, told to hand in my notice or get fired, handing in my notice looks better for me lol
I feel free now! I used to work on Food to Go, it was ok at times but I also breached food hygine regulations

I worked in Sainsbury's for about 2 weeks.......says it all really! Only way to keep yourself happy to the end is to remember there is an end to the tedious job. Remember you'll be in another tedious job soon enough, with other people that suck and treat you like crap. Pretty much every job is like that nowadays, unless you been there a while and its other new ones that get it in the neck.
