ok, i'm one of the biggest dune fans of all time. obviously "I can't stop raving" is prabably there best title ever ( some wont agree but it is classic. tunes like million miels and hand in hand etc are also great then theres the botched stuff like who wanrts to live forever but i guess has a charm of it's own ) . Anyway, There are many mixes of i cant stop raving but i have yet to find any information on the remix of the song that has that very sad theme to it.
I have an mp3 of it and the orignal MIDI score file for it but i can't find any release infoprmation as i am looking for it on 12" . The only lyrics in this trak are " I can't stop raving" which is repeated and some " Dum da dum dum dum da da dum". it is not the montini experiace rmx or the revil rmx or the 12 " mix ( which is the original which an intro beat) nor is it the Dune rmx released on urbun in 1995 . it is also not the video , club or vocoder mix ( vocoder being really strange BTW ) i have all of these on 12" but this seeminlgy sad remix eludes me. please, 4-beat knowledge guru's unite and help a fellow HHC addict to find his holy grail

I have a Dune track that goes "dum da dum dum dum, da da dum". It has a more meleodic tone to it than the other one I have, which has a female lyric in it. Sadly, the one with the da dum's is on a burned cd, and I dont have a tracklisting for it.

That's the original of "Can't Stop Raving" and features on the album "Dune".
Can't be *that* much of a Dune fan, eh? ;)
If you want to talk to a scary Dune fan, talk to Chwhynny. She has 7 copies of some of the CD single releasses from different territories. Heh!

Actually I own 7 copies of "million miles" and 2 of "can't stop raving" all original vinyl presses (not selling, dont ask). I also own a few copies of the bootleg.

just like CDJay said, it's propably the Original mix from the self-titled album. IT's in my opinion is the best version ;)
I haven't seen the original on any singles I know off, but then, I'm not an large fan of Dune :P
anyways.. original MIDI score? how do you know that it's not made by someone not with Dune?

CDJay is right. So if you are looking for any information, just ask.
Anyway, this one has to be the one off their album "Dune" indeed, track 8, duration 4:23. The vocalist is credited as Tina Lagao, who later turned out to be Verena von Strenge.
All official versions released as mixes of the original (not counting the numerous hideous rips and cover versions) available are:

May I strongly advise you to get their first album "Dune"? It's one of the best hardcore artist albums ever made (in fact, I am of the opinion it is THE best, but CDJay will slap me if I say so, so I will shut up :P ). It goes very cheap on eBay all the time. I usually have about 3 spare copies of each CD, but unfortunately of this one I only have one cardsleeve promo and one copy of the official release, so I can't offer you mine.

The first Dune album was in my opinion a real big disappointment... Way too experimental and it has little to do with the big hits ;)

IMO its the best, and FYI "Hardcore Vibes" and "Can't Stop Raving" are one of their most popular tunes, both are in the first album.

I was like you, I bought it because I liked Can't Stop Raving on the radio, and then was hugely disappointed with the album because Can't Stop Raving wasn't at all like the version I wanted and the other stuff was just weird. I was pissed off, felt ripped off, and I put the CD in a cupboard.
My anger and disappointment turned into a positive obsession when I listened to it again a few months later when I thought it was a bit of a waste not to listen to it at all, since I had paid the full price for it. I had it on repeat whilst reading a book, and since that day the CD has hardly ever left my CD player. I have been listening to this album at least 2x a week for the past 12 years, and in that time I have gathered a huge collection of extremely hard-to-find Dune CDs. This album needs time and an open mind, as I myself have noticed.

Can't Stop Raving is a different version though, hardly recognisable. You're right about Hardcore Vibes, that and Are You Ready To Fly are very similar to the versions on the CD maxis.
