whats wrong with hardcore? i think its ****ing great!
and whoever thinks its going downhill, all u have to do is look at the attendance at raves and number of albums being released & their sales figures!
hardcore is the BIGGEST selling edm genre in the uk based on compilation sales!!
yeah there may be a lot of tripe that sounds the same or is unimaginitave and uninteresting, but u get that in EVERY genre of music!
i think some of the most creative artists in the dance music world produce hardcore. there is a LOT of stuff out there! stuff for all different tastes.
if u dont like the way hardcore sounds, maybe u should listen to other genres of music insteadof trying to change somethingf that so many ppl enjoy?
this isnt a stab at anyone, i'm just questioning a lot of people's opinions. lots of people on this board seem a lil jaded and always go on and on about being the most inventive and how the underground stuff is so much better then the much more "commercial" hardcore (ie: raverbaby), but i think thats crap. whats good is all about someone's opinions (beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and if someone doesnt enjoy something, they should go find something they DO enjoy, as oppose to trying to change/tarnish something that so many people, myself included, do enjoy

I've been saying this for about a year and a half now.
Right now, nothing in upfront interests me. Scott Brown's tunes sound the same. Sy & Unknown make watered down tunes. Hixxy and Breeze & Styles..well that goes unsaid. I don't like the TNC sound, Next Gen has been sucking while we're at it too. The only label I can stand now are Warped Science, and I haven't listened to any of their stuff recently. The only thing that keeps me from not giving up on upfront hardcore are producers Jon Doe, Luna-C, Cube::Hard, and the K12 crew. It's such a shame that all of them don't get the respect they deserve because all of them are very hard working individuals. Hopefully they will get more respect for what they are doing now.
I'm hoping that hardcore dies again soon so all the "big" producers will have to really step their game up, because right now is really not cutting it.
Am I alone on this one?
