I don't know what other peoples opinion is going to be on this but i thought that the matter needed diccussing.
At the moment there has been a noticeable increase in hardcore compallation albums released. Also number of remixed hardcore material has been released on major mainstream compellations, Clubland for example. It seems to me that hardcore is moving closer and closer to the attentions of mainstream dance. does anybody else think this is happening?

At the same time it's becoming more mainstream, we still have a huge supply of underground, unheard (for the most part) and amazing producers that lay in the waiting to seize the day.
At any rate, the production quality in those commercial tunes is excellent tbh, but the underground stuff is what sets the trend. In a few years, the sounds we consider underground will be commercial.
So, quit complaining and enjoy the music!

It's been commercial for ages now!! Who cares. All you have to do is ignore the trash that they knock out and listen to the good stuff.

Don't worry about it! Its been through several cycles of going mainstream then underground! Doubt it'll reach the popularity of the early nineties though.

IMO mainstreem gets people involved with hardcore, and id say at least 25% of those people will go on to listen to the harder stuff. For those that dont like the cheese, why not just dont listen to the stuff you dont like and be happy that the scene as a whole, including the hard sub genre's, are growing..
