This isn't a vinyl vs digital argument (as to which is 'better' or which you would prefer to play) - what I'm debating is whether delaying digital releases or not releasing digitally at all makes economic sense for the labels.

as vinyl is still the medium of choice for most hardcore dj's
thats a horrible idea
a) the whole point of releasing it later on mp3 is to reduce piracy - the effort required to rip a good quality file and share it is higher than the effort required to buy an mp3 and share it
2) by the time a track is released it's probably a year old and it doesn't matter to the original artist if it's played out. In fact, they probably want it played out for exposure. If you're releasing tracks on mp3 BEFORE vinyl everyone will stop buying vinyl and only buy mp3s because any DJ getting regular bookings that follows a style won't want to be 3 months behind everyone else and possibly lose potential bookings.
That is some load of crap dude. Most people here (and on USH) hate the MP3s, so they wouldn't buy it, since most of those who DJ are vinyl users.
Anyways, Silver's gonna be pissed but Im going to partially quote what he said to me.
"MP3 doesnt give any money".
Only reason why MP3 doesnt generate enough money *(I dont understand why tho, since the artist SHOULD get more money PER track since theirs barely any costs of creating the mp3/wav) is because partially the thing I said just before;
a) There's still more Vinyl users than CD/Digital users, when it comes to DJing,
b) Most listeners are propably young since I presume that you usually attract younger and younger people. And thus, they either dont have money to buy much, or they do not have a Creditcard to use at all
heck.. Im going to start a poll now (and prop one at USH aswell) just to check what people replys

hm... I guess no one has permission to post a Poll here...
Well, if Silver wants to, he could create one, and even maybe use any of these Alternatives
"The Reason why you don't buy MP3 (or any digital files for that matter) are;
1- Hardcore should be Vinyl and nothing more.
2- Quality is poor (mp3_vs_wav or LP_vs_CD?)
3- I don't got enough money
4- I don't got a Creditcard or a Paypal
5- I can't use the files
and just for comparison;
6- I actually do buy MP3

UPDATED
I created a poll on USH.net, I dont know if you need to register to vote on it. If you dont, you could just vote and type down the reason over here.
