Hi guys,
Just wondering what ya view is?
I loved the old Hardcore Scene from '92 on wards and attended a shit load of events and still love listening to the tunes but what i find strange is why some people then say Happy Hardcore is shit & i would never and never have listened to it? Surely its from the same scene but just progressed & altered with the times. I slipped into the drum & bass scene but was always open minded towards the happy sets that appeared at the events i went to. One in my memory is World Dance @ Lydd where Slipmatt was the only Happy DJ of the night and it was a blinding set. Each to their own but i do hate it when peeps just say "No!!!! Happy is shit, i'm a junglist , Old Skool hardcore lover me.....everything else is shite"
The reason i'm saying this is because i recently posted some comments about how much i love Happy at the mo on another Hardcore chat room and they certainly got well narked and all said "No, No, No Happy is gay and is basically an imbarressment to the scene".
Well, Bollocks to them. I love it and i'm sure you guys do, so what does it matter? Right?
Nice
Happy Hardcore for me is absolutely fantastic & my main regret is that i never got to attend some nights in '96 and hear the mighty guys doing their stuff.

There is always people who like Hardcore but don't like the happier stuff, that is just their choice. If they complain about it, that is their opinion.
So indeed, bollocks to them for their unwelcome opinion.
I love it personally! It's the real UK Hardcore :)

Happy Hardcore is more enjoyable to listen to that Upfront Hardcore imo, although even Happy Hardcore dosnt compare to Bouncy Techno or Happy Gabber

In my eyes its all these sub divisions that cause the problems.
What you have to remember is where it all came from, hardcore spawned a lot of different styles, now it seems, its spawned even more.
I like hardcore no matter what form its in.
Anyone who says one style of rave music is crap and another is better isnt a true raver. When you went to a Dreamscape or something similar, you danced all night to Happy/Techno/Gabber/Jungle/Old Skool/ Whatever. You enjoyed it, love peace and unity, and you went home feeling good.
