I heard a sample its ok I supose, just an Upfront remix, could be worse. Brisk and Vagabond were doing better stuff two years ago imo but most of their stuff isnt that bad to listen to lol

Not quite the update i expected - especially after the Eurolove remix.
Still a decent tune though, despite the less than great vocal.

IMO all the new remixes of classics don't compare! Ok try and remix a lesser known tune but for an anthem such as eyeopener i think they should have passed!
I think the track suck ass but then again i ain't very impressed with B&V most of the times

hmm
sucks that they got the vocals re-sung
apart from that I think it's pretty good, it's not butchered or anything and they seem to have kept fairly true to the original

Sorry some of you guys aren't feeling the new mix. As some of you have pointed out, it's more of an update than a remix per se. We've tried to keep to the original but update the beats, synths etc.
The reaction amongst the crowd has been really strong so we're happy with the end result. If you don't like it that's cool but please don't overlook the flipside as that's been working well on the dance floor too.
Have yourselves a great weekend,
Brisk

i did know that the original was actually a euro track.
"Hey, if you're out in the cold, tonight..."
still can't beat the original.
Brisk: like i said, everything else about the track is good in my opinion EXCEPT the vocals. still a decent tune, and it was overdue to get a face lift.

holycrap, just read the entire thread and brisk him self has posted!!!!!!!!
HEY BRISK, if you are reading this, PLEASE save the scene and go back to the 1995 sound because that's what everyone wants, i don't like this pollished clean sound, it needs be raw and have that DIY punk attitude.

I dont believe for one minute that is the real brisk.
To me this is a nu style mix, for the nu style hardcore listener.
I hope those who are oblivious to the original, enjoy it.
The original was a great track and Brisk's 99 remix was actually better imo, had that inner rush feeling.
Brisk has stuck true to his roots, and gets nothing but respect from me, he was around when I started raving back in the early 90's and is still doing it today. No +8's for him, the old Kinetic resident still can bring down the sound better than most. I just hope he never slows his sets down, keeps playing at break neck speeds and continues to do what only brisk can do, rock the damn dancefloor.
Best ever set ive heard, Slipmatt & Brisk - Back to back @ Vibealite from Bradford 96 I think.

nice to see Brisk actually show some interest and post here :O
95_was_the_time, go annoy other people and stay away from my idols ;)
Brisk says it's more of an "update" than a remix - which seems fairly accurate - that's what it sounded like to me when I heard it. I personally really like it - I'm just not sure about the re-sung vocals yet.
