Earlier i thought to myself:
wouldnt it be cool if happyhardcore.com released a c.d? It could be mixed by DJ Silver and consist of say 15 tracks, but, every track is completely original and made by a happyhardcore.com member, every1 could send 1 track to dj silver, he could pik his favorite 15, mix them and produce a c.d, and it could be sold on the website (£5-10 or so) in the same way as CLSM's 'bathford welcomes careful drivers' was. coz i fink that this website has some fantastic upcoming producers from thee songs ive heard, and i fink this wud be an exciting project and really get ppls names out there worldwide
good idea? bad idea?

haha yea but it's not like there's any cost associated with doing it, burning and sending out a few cds is no hard task :p maybe someone wants to make a cd cover too? that'd be kinda cool :)

well silver has done 3 or so cd's sponsered by happy hardcore.com, but i think it would be great to increase popularity of the website by releasing a mixed or un mixed compilation cd consisting of bangin tracks.

you dont really need to increate the popularity of this website too much. I mean of course more is better but its pretty well known ;).
Um yeah I think its a good idea in theory but it couldnt be released as such, it would have to be digitally distributed as it wouldnt have a chance in the commercial world, again this idea is what crush on hardcore is trying to get at, but its not specifically for happyhardcore.com. I mean the idea is good but it has been done before.
Equally id be happy to mix something together.

i just thought it wud be kinda cool. i mean its a pretty tightly knit community the members on this site, and it wud be great to ava c.d of every1s best song and then when 1 of us wins 'best breakthru dj' at westfest, we can say 'ive got his 1st ever track that was put on a proper c.d lol.
i thought it wud be somethin for us to all get excited about, i mean that bonkers post has 20 pages of replies, imagine how big thee post wud be if it was our own c.d.
as for sales, i kno it wudnt sell many, its more about gettin our names out there, but we have sum pretty big name djs registered to this forum, u never know who may be listening. as for getting more sales, i guess it ud be upto us to promote it, thats y i suggested dj silver mixing it, coz hes well known.

Bloody hell, I had that idea 4 months ago and never dared to ask about it. However, I'd do it differently. First of all, it should be 3-4 CDs (45-60 tracks), like a proper compilation. And we should sell it and advertise it on different sister sites as well as our own (e.g. Ush.net). The cover should be signed by all the members who helped make it (do it through scan) and then we should make poster version for £3-£4 and sell them too.

Well selling a cd could run into many licencing issues. I mean you could alternatively do what crush on hardcore is doing and just do a happyhardcore.com member mix. Im starting to produce a few tracks and would happily throw some of my stuff on there.
Also I know, envias, whitey, eddiewould, phenex, bondy & harry h would definatly be in on it and I could organise that.
We could probably get one disc's worth of content just from them all including myself and I would be happy to mix up one cd.
