I'm a student first and foremost atm, but yeah I want to produce full time once I get my own studio space. I would like to put out some more tracks when I have the time, but I don't want to be "the next big thing" or anything like that. I just want to make music that I enjoy first and foremost, but also that other people can enjoy too. But I would never produce solely hardcore and try to make a living off of it. That's ridiculous.
I hear the money is in engineering, get good at that and artists come knocking at your door. It's dance musics form of "the better mouse trap"
That's what I'm in school for! :D
Then it sounds like you're well underway :) I'm in school to be an electrician. I could fly out and wire your fancy digs.

All the top names are very well off.
Think about it, Styles has money from djing every weekend, All his vinyl realeses, including his old F&S stuff, His commercial Trance, commisioning songs to Ultrabeat and then you've got his own Commercial releases, that's alot, he's definetely not poor and then you've got all the Royalties from the hundreds of CD's he's had his tracks on and then you've got ringtones(Didn't know he was doing them). He had an Audi a couple of years ago? Think he got a new one? They're not expensive anyway.
Also, how can you say Jon Doe is more talented than Styles?|(Fair play if you don't like his recent commercial stuff but he has alot of classics behind him) Bollocks, they're both very talented! Simple answer is Jon Doe hasn't gone the Commercial route.

Just opinion really, i dunno, jon doe is more than a producer, theres an element of comedy there 2, i see him as more talented because hes not really like anyone else out there, hes pretty unique and to be unique but sucessful u have to be very good. imo

yeh u can,t knock it if other people remix there work into trance, but it pisses me of when styles makes a hardcore song, then makes the same song into trance himself, then u post on the site new hardcore video from styles and its trance and shite,my mate hates styles now with a passion now because of his sellouts, and he used 2 really like him,and it annoys me as well hardcore shows 2 much respect 2 trance, while they laugh at us,u don,t see any trance people turning round 2 make hardcore,I SAY **** TRANCE
