I was in my local CD shop with my brother today and we came across Thundercore, a dutch hardcore CD associated with the happy hardcore series. I was wondering what you guys think of dark hardcore and gabber. I don't much like it.

Personally it depends on my mood. Iv got loads of Thunderdome cd's and Earthquake cd's if im majorly p*ssed off or anything i stick them on. Kind of how i spose people listen to Manson or Korn to get angry and riled up to realease anger. I could never listen to it when im in a good mood though unless i was coked off my t*ts and wanted to go out fighting for some strange reason lol.

I am not a big fan of gabba. It sounds good at the end of a happy hardcore mix, but I could not stand a whole set/cd mix of it.

I love really filthy Gabber, you know; Lenny Dee, Tieum, Unexist, that kinda thing! Nu Style is abit too watered down for me these days unless its particulaly hard :P
At a rave it's definately the first choice of music, far better to rave to than any other kind of Hardcore unless its oldskool!

Happy gabber is my choice of Gabber... Nu style is a bit too much although sounds ok if the mix builds up to it! I love distorted kicks and har bass drums but draw the line when it is just noise! I wouldnt mind a Thinderdome, there are loads so there should be somthing I like

the most only gabber i liked is the older 96-97 sorta stuff from holland. new stuff is pretty good too, but over all this i probably filthy, dirty, brutal speedcore. Like Helius Zhamiq, Noisekick etc etc.

thunderdome 1-15 are quality, even the megamix they released of 1-4 where the tracks are all about 1 to 2 minutes long is good. 1 through 5 are probably my favorites.
