Hardcore started off as a sample based. People taking samples from other tracks and then making harder versions (hence the name Hardcore). If Hardcore has plundered any scenes for vocal samples then old House & Rap tracks must be the most used. To be honest in most cases I much prefer Hardcore using samples than original vocals (especially if its just resinging a famous track).
