ok, so after xmas im buying some nw decks, but ive been noticing that alot of djs play live on c.d decks. i would like to play live, so what would be my best bet?

ive heard vinyl is much harder than cd decks. if you master vinyl you will probably find cd decks very easy.

Nah, much the same TBH. I prefer vinyl though as you can tell when a break/end of a track is coming up just by looking at it, it's easier to que a certain spot and is just far more fun to play about with.

i've used both and sold my cdj 200s in less than a year. it's a good idea to maybe get one, but seriously, unless you have the money to buy the more expensive ones, then i'd stick to vinyl.
CDJS ARE BORING!!
with only one, you can still take advantage of all the strictly digital stuff out there and still keep your vinyl.
DJing using only cds, you lose an element of fun-ness. i don't recommend getting two.

Not really. It's never a problem if you know about track structure etc. It's piss easy to get right with the new stuff because it's so predictable. Even if you do slip up most of the time you can save it with some EQ'ing/fading or chopping.
I would agree that two vinyl decks and one or two CD decks as well is the way to go. I'm a serious vinyl fan boy though. :P

new...you could buy either
I like both mediums but prefer vinyl

true.it took me no time getting used to my cd decks when I got them.

Best comment ever.......because it's so true! It's hardly a reason not to use vinyl.

vinyl is pressed on wav right.. so are cd's ... newer stuff would be mastered better right?

I would have to doubt that, example = i have dj isaac bad dreams on vinyl and i have bad dreams on .aiff, the pressing on the vinyl is not perfect and i would bet that even if it was in pristine condition that the aiff file would sound much better

Serato, Mix Vibes, Torq, Tractor Scratch etc. best go digital if your to gay to carry some records:P
