Was just wondering what's going on hardcore wise in the U.S and Canada. I know in the U.K it's by far the biggest there. Australia is said to be number two with alot of local talent like S3RL, SUAE, WEAVER, HAZE, DAIR, ANTIX, MENIS, SC@R (who's in the UK now) etc.. And now two Hardcore labels. Hardcore Masif and Executive.
But yeah hav'nt heard alot about the Scene in North America. I know of SIMON APEX who has put out some great tunage over the years and that's about it. And is it still very difficult to put parties on cause of the strict laws over there?

The US/Canada are very spread out geographically, so there are little pockets of hardcore with regular events but not many.
You'll find Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto, NYC, Phoenix, San Francisco, LA, and Seattle all have quite a few hardcore events. The US events usually have to abide by strict laws, but thats more based on the city police and code enforcement.
As far as producers, there are quite a few, mostly with digital labels because vinyl distribution here just isn't reasonable. Audio X, No Left Turn, Reese, Sunrize, AC Slater, Ruffage, Micheal Mansion, Phosphor, Justrich, Frisky, Hujib, Milo (I'm sure I forgot many) and then a lot of people learning the ropes of production.

There has been a Gabber/ Happy Gabber scene in the States during the 1990s! DJs like Lenny D, Delirium and Omar Santana. They often did stuff with Scottish and Dutch DJs and used to play Scottish and Dutch stuff at their own events! I know Jungle/ Drum and Bass exists in North America but the Happy Hardcore scene was small playing mostly UK stuff! DJ Spree hasnt produced much although mostly played UK Happy Hardcore at his events!

Ottawa is a joke. its full of little haters that dont even follow or care for the global scene. They think theyre such hot shit that the world follows them er something. same crap in montreal and toronto. We get pretty much 0 support from our home towns which is rather ****ed up
Quebec City is the hot spot for hardcore in canada. its ironically the city that feels most european too.

just because omar santana and lenny d are from here doesnt mean anyone knows what hardcore is
this is a textbook answer but there's really very little "scene" unless you happen to be one of the lucky few locations

Hardly, I can name at least two major rave promotion teams that book international talent at nearly every event they throw. I can also tell you I get MAJOR support from my "home town".
I play at 95% of raves in Ottawa. Ottawans even drive 2+ hours to come cheer when I play out of town - if that's not support I don't know what is.
Ottawa rocks.

I think Pittsburgh had an event and Brisk was there, most events near me are there.
But, I think it's mostly out in Western U.S.
BUT.....I'm spreadin the locv of hardcore here to some of my friends.
I'm like a hardcore dealer. But they exchange other stuff instead of money.
But lets hope it's gets out to more people. Any U.S. peple wanna help?

One of my friends introduced me to hhc but other than him I don't think anyone around here knows what it is :/
Once I get up to speed mixing-wise I'm gonna try to get a set or two played on my college radio station.

EFM-7 gets plenty of love too.
That's already two hardcore artists from Ottawa. It's hardly just myself.
I might be a promoter but I haven't thrown an event since March yet I've been playing almost weekly so it clearly has no bearing on my bookings. It's not about being a promoter, although the fact that I know how to succesfully market an event also allows me to successfully market myself.
